Random House Australia is offering a free ebook of Caroline Overington's novel, Ghost Child , to Australians who sign up for their newsletter. The conditions are:

This free ebook offer is for new subscribers only who are Australian residents aged 16 years or over and Australian residents aged under 16 years who have obtained the consent of their parent or legal guardian. Offer valid from 1 October 2010 at 9:00 AEST through to 31 October 2010 at 17:00 AEST.

I logged on to their site 10 minutes ago, and they said they had sent me an email. It hasn't arrived yet. I know that Tasmania is a long way away, but really..

I tried that thing the last time someone said we could get it. I never got the email

Just try another email address. Some domains drop all their emails into spam hell, while others will let them thru (but might drop them into your spambox). It's pretty much instantaneous, if you are going to get one at all.

You'll need an australian address and IP when access Kobo to get the book.

The email still hasn't arrived, so I guess it isn't coming.
