How do I get an Epub and not a PDB?

I remember reading a long time ago that there was a way to force B&N to let you download an Epub instead of a PDB.Can someone tell me how to do it?

1. Use a Windows computer. PDB downloads really seem to only appear for Mac users, due to the B&N Reader app crashing and burning with DRM-ed ePubs.

2. On the Mac, use NookStudy to download if you've a 10.6 Snow Leopard system. This app is incompatible with your existing PDBs, by the way.

3. Otherwise, try spoofing your browser's user-agent string (Firefox has a setting for this direct in the Preferences, I believe) to claim to be from a Windows machine.

4. Advanced geeky extra-credit option: on a non-10.6 Intel Mac, use the Windows Nook app via Wine.

Hope this helps.
