Amazon UK 70% option
Amazon has just announced that the 70% option is being extended to the UK Amazon store. The UK price must be between £1.49 and £6.99. (NB this is lower than the US minimum price of $2.99, which is about £1.85 at current exchange rates)

http://dtp.amazon.co.uk/ is also now a valid URL, but just redirects to the .com address.

As far as I can see, if you've already selected the 70% option for a title available in the US store, and it's available to the UK, then the 70% option automatically applies.

Do they still insisting in paying us our royalties in US dollars though, in cheque only for amounts of $100 up?

Royalties from US sales are in dollars. Royalties from UK sales are in sterling. Still only by cheque though.

I think they'll be separate cheques, one in dollars and one in sterling, but since I haven't received a UK cheque yet I can't be 100% sure.

I just hope they get automatic transfers to British bank accounts set up soon.

That's interesting to know, when junior starts doing more time at pre-school I am going to have to learn how to code an e-pub book - it is e-pub on Amazon, isn't it?

Mobipocket format on Amazon, but if you code the ePub nicely, Kindlegen will create a well-behaved Kindle format version for you.
