Hi Everyone
Hi Everyone..............

I received a Kindle for my birthday............... and it's very clever. Although I'm still not convinced I really like it.............. I read a lot and it just isn't like a real book........... But it's growing on me............ and I'm sure it could be a bit cleverer........So here I am.

I wouldn't go as far as a "dislike" ......... Just find it different and a whole lot of getting used to........ I'm not a gadget sort of bloke........ My wife even had to nag me to get a mobile phoe a few years back (I really didn't want one)........ now she justt moans that I never switch it on.......It lives in the glove box of my car mostly.

I notice there are books on here that can be downloaded.......... That's pretty good........ I have no idea how to get them from there onto my Kindle........ So if someone could give me an "idiots guide" that would be good.

Welcome to MR! I absolutely adore my K3. I love that I can have an entire library housed in this one little gadget. I love that I can switch from one book to another with relative ease if my mood changes. I love that if I find a new book I want, I can download it within seconds of purchase (instant gratification...I like it). I love that I can adjust the font size to suit my tired, old eyes (lol)...that alone, puts my K3 leaps and bounds above a paperback, for me!

Download calibre and use it to organize your library (check out the calibre forum, but it's really intuitive). You can just download the books and import them into your library and then put them on your Kindle via usb.
