Thanks Paul. I need some help with a query but I don't know where to post it. So I'll put it here to see if anyone can help.

I have just bought the new Kindle Wi Fi but I also have a Sony PRS 505. I want to know whether I can transfer my books from the Sony to the Kindle using Calibre? Help needed please>

Welcome to MobileRead, Judy.

the answer is "no" .......unless you 'liberate' them by stripping the drm.

Calibre can only convert formats of non drm'd books.
