error opening epub in calibre viewer
I have this error when I try to open an epub in calibre. I have redownloaded the book from my source but that hasn't fixed the problem. Is there a plugin that would help?
Any help would be appreciated. calibre, version 4.5.0 ERROR: Loading book failed: Failed to open the book at C:\Users\canag\Downloads\Wildest_Dreams_-_Lucy_Smoke (1).epub. Epubs are just zip files with a different extension and some expected content. The last line says the book is not a valid ZIP file. That suggests the file you downloaded is corrupt. You could try and open it with a compressed file tool and seeing what error it gives. Other than that, you could try to download the book with a different browser, just in case something strange is happening. And report to the source of the file that there is a problem with the file.
