Author sort for "le Carré" and "de Botton"
I am trying to sort by authors who have double-barreled family names. I can edit the metadata of each book by these authors and change the "Author sort" field from the default, e.g. "Botton, Alain de" to "de Botton, Alain" and that works in the catalogue list but in the author section of the Tag panel on the left-hand side, they still sort by "Botton, Alain de". Is there a way to change the sort order everywhere for authors with non-standard names?
I have changed the tweek categories_use_field_for_author_name = u'author_sort' but that didn't change the tag panel sort order. |

If you change the Author Sort value in the Manage Authors list the value you enter will stick.
Right click an Author name in Book Details panel or Tag Browser to get at the Manage Authors list BR |
