Sounds like it is not charged. Plugged into the USB of your computer it will actually dis-charge unless the computer is actively on (in other words not "sleeping" or in "hibernation". Ether use a barrel connection AC charger (PSP or one made for the reader) or keep your computer active for a few hours to charge it back up.
No point in just letting it sit there, the battery is already dead.... you need to charge it... |

I'll try it again, but the computer wasn't hibernating. When the computer is plugged in, it is always on. Thanks!

If it is that far discharged then you probably will not be able to recharge via USB. You will need to use an AC charger.

I don't have an a/c adapter, but it FINALLY looks like it may be charging. I am wondering if I have a faulty USB port on my laptop. I have four, so I just changed ports. Thanks all!

Glad it seems to be working! A good investment is a PSP charger (again, the barrel type, not USB). The USB into a computer is just not very reliable. Anytime the computer is not 100% on (even screen savers might effect it...) it is discharging! I know you think it was on all night (no sleep, hibernate...etc) but it could still be doing something, but you may not be aware.... or, it could be an older computer and a few of the USB ports are legacy 1.0 instead of the 2.0 needed to charge... whatever it is, glad it's working now..
