Amazon DTP - "no-DRM was always the default"
Interesting story over on ElReg.
I certainly wasn't aware that DTP titles were by default non-DRM...would anyone with a Kindle and some DTP-bought books like to comment? |

I have a few DTP books and they are DRM free.
In the past the only way to have DRM through DTP as far as I know was to upload an already DRM'd Mobi file made with Mobi Creator. Last edited by AnemicOak; 01-21-2010 at 10:26 PM. Reason: added more info |

Yes, essentially this change just made it easier for authors to add DRM if they want.
(For the record, I left mine DRM-free.) |
