I was wondering though, being new to Smash Words: it now says that I have purchased this book. Does it mean that I can download it in another format even after this offer expires?
I downloaded the .pdf file for now because I still read on my laptop but chances are that once I have bought a reader, I might want it in a different format. Does it mean I can download it again in another format or did I misunderstand how this website works?

Yes, you can download any of the formats, at any time. If the author updates the book, you'll get a list of file dates to choose from after clicking on Download.

This works for any book purchased at Smashwords. The only exception are those marked "Free", which don't allow purchase. The author can raise the price at any time and you would then have to make a purchase to access other formats (so, download any you think you might want, when you run across these).

Once you have purchased a book it shows in your "My Library". (Top of your smashwords page in blue bar..)

You can go any number of times and redownload any and all formats.. Just click on that book in your library, it comes up, it says "you have already purchased this book" under the price, and you just choose what format you want to download again.

(Just to be on the "safe" side.. in case the author pulls the book and redownloads may not be possible ... I download in ePub and my lrf formats.... sometimes the pdf for the illustrations)
