Calibre on Windows Mobile
Is there any interest or plans on porting to this platform, if possible at all?
Thanks. |

Since it requires support for Python and a lot of associated libraries, I would not have thought that a typical Windows Mobile system had the resources to run Calibre even if there was interest.

Info on a version for Python for windows mobile can be found here:
http://pythonce.sourceforge.net/Wikka/HomePage Maybe calibre could be compliled for ARM as a console version or with a simple GUI. http://lib2go.com/ is good enough for me often, though having no options (eg font size) is painful. |

Qt does not appear to support Windows Mobile. So that's a big no. It does support Windows CE... There could be an unofficial WinMo project somewhere but I don't see it listed on Qt's home page.

Calibre is, if I recall correctly, able to run on a webserver and do conversions etc. on the fly, right? Well, then you just need to set up a server, run calibre on it, then use your windows mobile device's browser to use it.
Unless I'm very much mistaken. |
