Never thought id be interested in doing this so didnt pay any attention to whether its possible.

Yes, you can send Word docs through email to your Kindle. Be aware that heavy formating and special characters will not transfer well to the Kindle because it does not support these fonts.

Your other choice is to save your word doc as an html file and use mobipocket creator or book designer to stylize and convert your document.
