Subtitle template changed

Updated to calibre 8.0.1 and Kobo Utilities and noticed afterwards my Subtitle template had changed to {#subtitle].
This caused My Books to display a plugboard error, corrected the ] to } and all is well.
Don't know if it's a calibre or KU issue but there was no error before updating.

If you were using the Kobo Touch Extended driver, that was likely a typo in the KoboTouch driver customization which is now being used exclusively (the KoboTouchExtended driver being deprecated). The updated KoboTouch driver used the old KoboTouch driver customization.

The template I was using with the KoboTouchExtended driver to decide if I want KePub or ePub had to be changed because it no longer worked in the new KoboTouch driver. But it wasn't a complicated changed and thanks to @ownedbycats, I was able to get it working again.

So if you need help, MR is a great resource full of good people who are willing to help.

Nothing was changed in handling of subtitle templates, that was a pre-existing option in the KoboTouch driver that hasnt been affected.

Question: Does anybody know if subtitle can be configured at any other place than the driver? Because it looks like driver is not sending the subtitle (there is no configuration) and information is going to my Kobo.

Is it possible that it was previously imbedded into the book?

No, I've found it with a calibre portable and an old copy the configuration. It has been a victim of the driver migration, as my metadata plugboard. Sorry for asking before digging deeper (too sleepy).
