unbricking a KT2

Hello, I tried to follow this tutorial to install android on my kindle, and accidentally caused a brick.

When I try to turn on my kindle, it gets stuck here:

And never finishes.

I am able to interact with it using fastboot, but I couldn't get imx_usb to work.

I've tried looking here for hours and hours but I haven't been able to un-brick it. Kubrick doesn't support KT2, and the (2) guides that are made for it didn't work for one reason or another.

I do have a serial debugger and basic soldering skills, but I just need a helping hand to get started. Any help would be immensely appreciated, thank you.
