Kindle Basic (kt3) won't boot properly.

Hello everyone I've kindle basic 8th gen(kt3). Last year I installed Kaul and KOreader on this device. Everything worked perfectly. But today for some reason i created /root and /home and restarted the device. Now kindle won't boot properly. The screen is stuck at boot screen. I removed /root /home hoping it would solve the problem but it didn't work.

Fortunately I had ssh server (over wifi) set up on the device so I was able to login to the device. On running `ps aux`[1] it appears that kindle application(not sure what it is called) isn't running.

I'm suspecting init script isn't loading programs properly. I need help to solve this problem.
