ePub Cover Image not show up on Kindle Paperwhite

Hello, I convert ebooks to Mobi for our son's Kindle paperwhite.
However when they are sent to his device, I now receive an email from Amazon stating that they will soon no longer accept Mobi formats, and to convert to epub from now on.

I've just tried converting one of his books to epub, however the cover image no longer shows on his kindle.

I send to his kindle, by emailing to his kindle address, this way, the books also show up on his kindle app on his ipad.

I've tried editing the file in calibre to upload the cover image again, and saving as a new file, however this still won't work.

It's driving me crazy!
Please ... how do you get cover images to show on epub files?!

it's been a long time I don't do sideloading but... I remember having that issue with mobi files as well, and if i recall correctly, i needed a combination of output settings and some metadata changes to have the covers show up.

For epub output, I'd suggest trying out that setting in the attached screenshot

also, before converting the mobi to epub, it might me worth trying out the Fix ASIN for Kindle Fire feature of the Quality Check Plugin

Covers don't show. There's nothing that can be done until Amazon fixes the problem.

For what it's worth, I can see the cover on an Epub I sent through mail to my Kindle 11.
