Now that Amazon is deprecating mobi/azw, etc., is there a way to email epub formats to my reader? I only see the option to convert file to mobi, which Amazon will not accept after August.

Just email the epub file to your Kindle's email address. This is likely going to require adding epub to the formats allowed to be emailed to that address.

Preferences->Sharing by email->Change the formats for your kindle email address to epub instead of mobi
