Creating Kindle Collections in Calibre

Hi All, I have a jailbroken PW and was wondering if there is a way to create and manage my collections in Calibre similarly to the way that you can do for Kobo? And if so is there a way to do nested collections, so for example you could have a main category or genre like Fantasy and then within you could create folders for different series? I tried to read through the collections manager string, but couldnt determine if it would still work or if it was still supported.

If anyone has any suggestions for other UI options to use I would be open to those. I dont particularly care for KOReader because you cant manage your folders via computer from what I can gather, and individually putting 1500 books in folders is a time commitment I am not ready to make.

It depends what you are trying to do. If it's simply to create collections within Calibre, then that facility exists via custom columns & tags. Tags can be nested.

If you're wanting to copy the collections to a Kindle, try Kindle Collections plus Librarian Sync - https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...librarian+sync.

AFAIK, there's no longer the ability to create nested collections within Librarian Sync.

Collections Manager itself is (I think) reitred, but the thread has some good stuff on collections generally.

Personally I found the process to be a pain. Perhaps I was doing it wrong. I found the best solution was to install Koreader, which required me to organize books in system folders/directories
