Boox Lumi faint grid

Hi
I owned Sony DPT-S1 digital paper reader for a while and was satisfied by the screen but was not satisfied with the firmware.
Now I own Sony DPT-RP1 with Goodereader's hack. The screen has a faint grid that is hardly visible from the close distance. The DPT-S1 did not have it. It seems like wacom layer or what.

I read that some devices like Fujitsu Quaderno and Papyr have that grid too!

My question is: does the Onyx Boox Max3 or Lumi/Lumi2 have that grid? Or does the screen white like Kindle etc?
