Can We 'Right Click - Send to Calibre' ?

When browsing directories and checking files, looking into them, seeing what they are, if they should be kept, etc., it'd be nice if on finding one we want we could simply right click it (in win10 I'm talking here) and get a menu option 'send to calibre'.

That option doesn't exist on my machine currently.

Does it exist anywhere? A plugin? Some configuration?

Start menu > run > type in shell:sendto > make a shortcut to Calibre.exe in the opened folder. This adds it to the Windows SendTo menu, and it'll add the file to your library.

(shell:sendto won't work if typed directly into the Start Menu, use "run")

Send To is my primary way of adding books, you can add multiple "books".

You might also like the Add files to selected book records from clipboard keyboard shortcut.

I have it set to Alt+Shift+V (there's no default). So, I use Ctrl+C in my file manager to copy the file(s), switch to calibre, select the book(s) and press Alt+Shift+V. Sometimes I want to copy the same files into multiple books - this makes it easy.

Thanks for the tip. I'll be happy to look into it. Right now I don't understand it.
I mean I see the file on the clipboard is the book just copied with Ctrl-C but what's 'selected book records' ?

And I think maybe you meant there to be a link there but there isn't one for me. Unless it's gone away because I'm writing this... in which case delete all mention and I'll be following it....

That will put a copy of Check List.one into the four selected books

Helps to have a Stay on Top gadget (MS should provide it)
