Import from Kindle - This book is on the device in main

Hello All

If this query is in the wrong place please move it to where it ought to be.

I’m transferring a load of books from my kindle to Calibre. I have uploaded Alfs plugin to get get rid of DRM, which I’m presuming is working ok, not getting an error message about drm at least, but may be the below does relate to this aspect?

So the books are being imported, but I’m noticing the as they are added to the library, a big green tick ✅ remains viewable on each of them. When I pass the cursor over them the title of this thread appears “This book is on the device in main”. Can some one please advise me what this means, and the relevance of the tick ✅ , as those books which I imported from my Sony reader do not have the tick nor the caveat, just the books title and author.

I have stopped importing from the kindle and await some help, thanks in advance

The green ticks appear when a device is connected. They disappear when you eject the device. Your Sony books have no green ticks because your Sony is not connected.

It's completely normal.

Edit: as to DRM removal, you won't get any error messages unless you actually try to do something with the books (open them in the Calibre viewer, convert them, edit them in the editor etc.). Just importing the books or even editing metadata won't give you any DRM failure messages.
