How long do your eReaders last in terms of battery life?

I have a Glo HD. I would guess going from 100%-0%, I would get 40 hours of reading time. I read every day and the light is always on.

e-reader battery life is a combination of page turns and hours on at a particular sidelight brightness. It's not a pure time thing, and the page turns dominate typically. wifi seems to chew a lot of power however.

Must say that the battery of the Kobo Glo HD, purchased 5 years ago, lives much longer than the Clara HD. Glo HD has approximately 60 hours of reading, Clara has less than 30.

I think it's because of the ComfortLight PRO backlight.

Never bothered to measure how many hours between a recharge so this is probably just really a comparison between the 2 devices I have owned.

I usually read for a couple of hours a night, maybe more on the weekend. As a guestimate 12 to 20hr a week. The light rarely goes over 10% (usually its around 2-3% at night, and 6-10% during the day). As mentioned before, Wifi always on is a killer...

The Aura One needs a recharge every week, sometimes more (if only for 30min).

The Aura HD would need a recharge every 3 to 4 weeks. Every now and then I would need to top it up, but not often (doubt I would have done it within 2 weeks).

Just reread your post. I have now confused myself.....

Did you mean before you need to buy a new ereader because the battery needs to be replaced (as it may not be possible) or how much reading time you get between a full recharge?

My Forma gives me about 35 hours reading time but I flip pages a lot more oftn than most people.

My battery is pretty much run down by the end of the day.

The battery on my Kobo Aura One, on the other hand, lasts between 20-25 hours.

Before I switched to KOReader, my 3 years old Aura One was able to run for 5-6 hours before a charge (no wifi, 20% brightness). Now that I installed KOReader, I get the double
(maybe even the triple) of this. I still don't understand why, the only difference is I'm using a dark mode, but in my understanding, it should requires more power to darken each pixel. At launch, my Aura One was able to run for 30 hours or so.
