Is there a way to rearrange the books on the home screen?
Kobo Aura HD shows four book covers on the home screen. So far as I know it's in the order they were last read. Is there a way to put them into a different order without constantly opening and closing them?

Not in any practical way. It is purely based on the reading status. There are ways to fiddle with that, but, it also changes the order in the book list.
