Server uses roman numerals for series when gui doesn't
For the GUI, I have disable the use of roman numerals for series. But when viewing from content server, roman numerals are still there.

I see the problem. The roman numeral setting is used only when the server is started by the GUI. If I start the server as a standalone, it doesn't use any settings from the server. Not sure how to resolve this.

the server and the gui use the same config directory, assuming you are running them on the same computer it will work out of the box. If not then copy over the config directory.

My test was with the same installation of calibre, not a copy. In the calibre-server documentation, I don't see an option to point to a config directory, only library path and userdb path. You had said in a different topic that the standalone calibre-server does not read any settings from the gui config, which is why everything needs to be specified in the commandline parameters.

Yes, it does not read any server settings, not general calibre settings. And assuming you run it as the same user as the GUI it will look in the same place for the config directory, otherwise use the env var described here: https://manual.calibre-ebook.com/cus...ment-variables

Without any other changes, the fix was to set CALIBRE_CONFIG_DIRECTORY. Not sure if the alternative is to be in a specific folder before running calibre-server.
Thanks! |
