New to calibre, a few problems with conversion

Hi everyone. I'm new to calibre and when I try to convert epub to mobi I have a few problems:

1) When a word is too long to fit in the line, it would just go down to the next line instead of being split with an hyphen. Can it be solved? It is also the case when some lines are spaced weirdly.

2) The cover don't appear in library mode

3) I can't see the page I'm in, only the location

can someone help me with it? Thanks

Why Mobi, that is so old school. AZW3 offers all the power of EPUB2.

there is a plugin called hyphenate this that might help

Pages! ebooks have screens of various size and variable sized text.
% of a section is more meaningful than how many forward taps you did
One of the features of my K4, was the progress bar at the bottom. The dots were the 'chapter' entry points. the arrowhead, the point you started the current book view session at.

1) The kindle doesn't hyphenate Mobi or AZW3 books on its own. Hyphenate this plugin can let you work around this limitation for azw3 (I don't know if it will work with mobi, haven't used mobi in a decade.)

2 and 3) You need to use Calibre to send your books to your kindle (over USB). With the Kindle pllugged in, you can click the drop down arrow next to "Device" Icon, and select "Configure this device". From there, be sure to check on "Send Page Number Information when Sending Book."
