I have kindle books that are not directly linked to my amazon/kindle account. they are in the MOBI format, and I don't know how to make them readable by my CC. What do I do? I use calibre on my phone, so that might make a difference in what to do.

If they are in the Calibre Library, then Calibre Companion can import those to your mobile device. You do need a viewer on the device (CC has no viewer) that supports Mobi, and configure CC to use that for Mobi. |
