Importing books in place

I use Calibre on two different computers. When I update the library on one computer, I sync the computers so that the library db and files are updated on the other. This works fine as long as I don't accidentally change the library on both computers before syncing them...which I did this weekend.

I now have books inside the Calibre library that are not included in the library database. Calibre has located them. It seems like an obvious feature to be able to tell Calibre to go ahead and add them to the database. Yet I can't see a way to do this. Fortunately, I'm only dealing with about six books but it is hard to believe that I have to go through the import process all over again and re-input all the metadata. Am I missing something?

Use library maintenance or manually move the folders out of the calibre library and then use add books from folder, one book per library which will restore all metadata (assuming calibre had time to backup the metadata).

Thanks for the help! It would be nice if there was a one button solution to just add the selected books to the database (kind of like Lightroom does with images that are in a folder but not yet imported).
