missing information in metadata?

I am sorting through my library, in the past (last week) when I downloaded metada if the book is part of a series the series info would show up on at least of the metadata's and it would be in the "series" coloumn however this has vanished I am no longer getting a metadata with the series information (and I double checked by going onto books I have already sorted and know the info was there when I sorted it. any ideas?

You are mistaken; the Kindle has never displayed series information. There is no "series" field in a book's metadata. What do you mean when you say that you "downloaded metadata"? Downloaded it from where, and how?

Perhaps the OP could clarify what Kindle model she is referring to.
