Good ebook for learning French?
Hi
I'm using the duolingo app to learn French. I think I could use a good book to complement it. Obviously there are lots of French textbooks but I'd like one in epub/mobi format (ie NOT PDF) that I can read it on my kindle. I'd appreciate recommendations. Thanks |

Would love to help but the only french book I know is "The French Chef" by Julia Child.
I don't think that would help unless you were going to only eat in France. |

Barty maybe ask down in the French speaking section of MR. I've asked a question in that forum before, in English, and they were most helpful.

A great French book I read is Thérese Raquin by Emile Zola. I didn't find the vocab too difficult, and excellent plot!

Seems the text books are going to be paper or PDF, so for now I'm using YouTube and various web sites(there are lots). I got a French > English dictionary for my kindle and I'm reading a couple of children / YA books on it.
I wish I could remember where I put my kindle keyboard (did I give it to somebody?) so I have the English version side by side for reference ![]() |
