Strange iliad problem: Button clicks don't work

Yesterday, my flipbar stopped working. However, when holding it (i.e. 5-page flip) it works. Today I realized that this applied to all buttons - the short-click doesn't work but the long-click works. Hence, I can not access the main menu (or any of the internal memory as all quick buttons are directed to CF card) either, as I need to short-click the #2 upper button on the right to access it Tried to reflash (holding @-button 3seconds while starting), but that doesn't work either. Any hints?

Everything else works: The stylus, pdfs, djvu-files (by plugin), wikipedia (by plugin) etc..

The "notes" button is actually redirected to internal memory and that doesn't work at all - no response while pressing it. So it seems like I don't have access to internal memory at all from the iliad - but it works when connecting to a computer..
