Pdf (with graphics and math algorithms to Mobi): tried everything, nothing work......
Hello everybody!! I know is not a new discussion and I searched for days along the internet trying to find an answer: and I found...but no. I tryed every single approach to convert complex pdfs into mobi but without success: first simple calibre conversion, then k2pdfopt, then mobipocket, then convert it into word, into xml, into filtrate html...NOTHING!!! I'm surrended and I'm here now, asking you for a definitive WAY TO CONVERT this ****** format in the best way. I think it's a problem of mine and on my Calibre (or other programs) configuration, so...PLEASE, is there any brilliant "scientist" that know how to config everything properly? I'm on a Kindle Touch 6" "damn" ebook. THANKS TO ALL THE GREATESTS!!!!

Experience has shown that it is virtually impossible to convert complex PDF files to more manageable eBook formats. You are almost certainly best of working out how to best handle such PDF files directly on you reading device.

k2pdfopt doesn't convert to mobi.
![]() But it *should* be able to reflow the PDF to fit better on a 6" screen. Ask in the k2pdfopt support thread for help finding the right parameters. ... And yes, direct conversion (and the OCR that entails) will be far more trouble than it is worth for a one-off conversion. Especially if math is involved! ![]() There is a sticky in this forum to that effect. Last edited by eschwartz; 09-30-2015 at 02:23 AM. |

I know that k2pdfopt doesn't make pdf. I mean using it first and Calibre then but though with really bad results. Anything of more "productive" in the air? Or better, what kind of settings to get the best results for a 6" device? Can you drive me to the heaven?

PDF --> k2pdfopt --> PDF --> calibre --> MOBI
![]() No, that won't be better than the original PDF --> MOBI conversion. Just read the PDF, and use k2pdfopt to make a more readable PDF. |
