Feed for magazin issues?

Hi there, I think I have an basic understanding about calibre news feeds crawling, but didn't found details about how I can crawl PDF magazin feeds?

For example I like to get www.freiesmagazin.de ,www.fluter.de or www.heuler-magazin.de all of them are free and available as PDF. I like to setup an feed that informs me about new issues and shows them with a cover, but I'm not sure if that is possible with an receipe?

recipes can only crawl html or epub resources, not pdf.

Do you see any other chance to integrate such content and thus make calibre simple as an podcast player but for ezines?

It should be fairly easy to write a calibre plugin that takes a list of URLS, and times, downloads PDFs from the URLs and adds them to the library. But, it is not something I am interested in personally.
