android tablet help
Hi guys, I am new and I hope this is the right segment to ask this question. I am kind of new to the whole android tablet thing, I have never had one actually but right now I am interested in buying one right now (primarily for watching vids and reading ebooks) I need something within my budget of $50 - $60. I came across some within this price range on a chinese website but I would need some advise before making a decision on which one to purchase. Below are the various processors/ specs of the tablets :
processor: Nvidia Tegra K1 ARM Cortex memory: 2gb Processor Main Frequency:2.2GHz Operating System: Android 4.0 processor:ATM7029B / ATM7021A/Cortex Memory Capacity:1GB Processor Main Frequency:1.6GHz Processor Type: ATM / ARM,VIA Operating System:android 4.2 Processor Type: Allwinner A31 Quad-Core Processor Main Frequency:1.0GHz Memory Capacity:2GB Operating System:Android 4.1 processor:RK3188 ARM Cortex-A9 Processor Manufacture:Rockchip Memory Capacity:2GB Processor Main Frequency:1.8 GHz Operation System::Android 4.2 tablet pc So which would you guys suggest is best among this list ? Is it safe to buy Chinese tablets ? I would also appreciate if you guys could point out other good android tablets within the $50 - $60 price range. I look forward to some advise. Thanks |

I would say that you can't get a decent Android tablet for so little money. Also, what kind of warranty comes with such cheap tablets? I'd advise saving your money until you have at least $100 for a tablet. You can get a Fire for that much, with a one-year warranty.

There is one very important spec you forgot to mention: Display resolution. Many chinese budget tablets have very very bad resolutions.
And then: much of the performance depends on how good android is implemented in them. And the build quality and the display quality and battery times are quite different too. So each tablet could be okay or pretty bad, you won't see it in the specs. Maybe you could find some older model of bigger brands quite cheap. Sometimes kobo arcs for example are sold at low prices. And look for refurbished models. If they are for example from amazon, you get their full customer support and service. You could get a refurbished last generation kindle fire in your price range. It is still a very good tablet, but without google play of course. |
