Aura H2O: Sharpness slider missing

Hi,

i am long time silent reader and finally now have a problem which brought me to actively join your community.

My (recently purchased) Kobo Aura H2O is missing the sharpness slider, meaning only the slider for font size and weight are present (preview window is also present). Firmware version is 3.11.0 Does anyone else noticed that weired problem? Is there a workaround? Any help would be appreciated.

Best regards

Kobo changed to using a single slider several firmware versions back. The weight and sharpness are now modified together.

Hi David,

thanks for your fast response. So theres no option anymore to increase the sharpness without editing the weight (except editing the KoboeReader.conf)?

Editing the Kobo eReader.conf file is the only way I know of to modify sharpness and weight independently. What I've done a couple of times is to use the slider to get the entries in the .conf file and then played with them. At least, the newer firmware is much friendlier in how the entries are handled.
