Book Date
I just updated my Calibre to 1.41 today. I noticed that when I added a new book it had the date 08 Feb 2013 instead of today's date. The date use to always be the current date the book was added.

Is there a setting that I need to adjust so that the date will show the actual date the book was added automatically, rather then having to change it manually every time?

The only time the date added will not show the current date is if there is an opf file in the same directory as the file you are adding that contains calibre timestamp metadata.

Or, your computer system's time is not set correctly. This is possible if the CMOS battery on your motherboard is failing - causing time to be incorrect and sometimes fluctuate.

Pub dates suddenly changed.
I just opened Calibre and found all the pub dates from 2014 had been changed to January 1, 2000.

What happened?

There are 3 default Date columns in Calibre:
Date (the subject of this thread)
Published
Last_modified (just not shown by default)
You are talking about Published?

Did you Bulk edit? That is all I know that would change an existing date in bulk.

The poster could be confused by the multiple date fields. Wouldn't be the first one either, it is common mistake.
