Tag browser - use different sub-categorization schemes

Is there a way to set different sub-categorization schemes for different categories in the Tag Browser?

viz : Have Authors set to By first letter and Publishers set to Disable

At the moment if I select Publishers->Change sub-categorization scheme->Disable then that scheme is applied to all categories in all physical libraries.

One of my libraries has more than 3,000 authors, and less than 30 publishers. On that library I find By by first letter is the only viable scheme for Authors, but for Publishers it's the worst scheme, If I use Disable the reverse is true.

If its not possible, then would it be feasible to implement an enhancement?

It would be preferable if such an enhancement would allow different settings for different physical libraries, a'la Virtual Library settings.

BR

In preferences you can set the level for when the sub-categorization scheme will be used. I'm not sure what the default is, mine is set to 50. Set yours to something over 30 but lower than 3000 and Publishers will not be collapsed.

tilia- I thought there was something somewhere - for some reason I was convinced that it was in Behaviour or Tweaks, but its in Look and Feel->Tag Browser - doh

But even better, there's a Categories not to partition list, that'll do me

Thanks again - BR

You're welcome

I'd forgotten about the Categories not to partition list, even though I use it for my genre column If it's always the same item you don't want collapsed, that's a better fit. I change between different virtual libraries often, so setting the first option at a sensible number is most useful for me.
