Question Highest contrast ratio

Hi,
Which of the non-front-lit and non-back-lit e ink readers has the highest contrast ratio?

The Kindle Paperwhite. It's the only eInk device currently on the market which uses the eInk "Carta" screen, which has a contrast ratio 50% higher than the older "Pearl" screens that most other devices use.

Edit: Sorry, I see you said non-lit. May I ask why you don't want a front-light? It makes a tremendous improvement to the readability of the screen.

For non-lit eReaders, pretty much any modern eInk Pearl device is going to look as good as you'll get. I do think they've tweaked Pearl screens over the years, because my mother's fresh Kindle Basic 5 has better contrast than my Keyboard, but the variance is minimal unless you jump to a lit screen.

Thanks all.
@HarryT
My eyes are tired of the lcds' light and I'm afraid the other lit screens might do the same to my eyes. I haven't tried them before and I hope to be wrong.
