Is there a Disk Scan or File Scan utility that will scan my storage devices and enable selective import of downloaded books (preferably with a check-box list) to Calibre 64-bit?
Hopefully it will also enable scanning/search within *.rar files which contain book/author directories. I can't find such a function in Calibre 64-bit or in the Plug-Ins. Maybe I'm missing something. I found one program called 'Alfa Ebooks Manager' that does it, but would prefer something from inside Calibre Thanks MisterNatural |

Calibre can Add Books singly, or in multiples, but only within directories you specify through the arrow next to the Add Books menu icon.
To the best of my knowledge it will not scan through archived files in the hopes of finding one or more books inside. Keep in mind that some books are archived files (cbr, zip, etc), so the files inside would be chapters or sections. This is why archives are not scanned through. |
