Can you search using Date Modified?

Hi, I'm not a total newbie, but I can't find information about this.
I added a bunch of books on a particular day last August. I've been whittling through the necessary corrections, but keep having to mouse back down to the right section.
I'd like to be able to use the search function to restrict to a particular date in the modified column. Coding is not easy for me, so a simple step-by-step answer would be appreciated.

last_modified is the search name: Hover over the column name to get search names
