Just to say hi
Hi
Just waiting for my Kobo Touch. I decide to buy after reading I could tinker with it and install ssh and scp. So, besides reading books I can also control my servers at distance. Is the battery "irreplacable" for good or can it be tinkered with, also? best, |

If I remember correctly, someone who had taken the Touch apart found that the battery was pretty firmly glued to the circuit board, so it may not be completely irreplacable, but it definitely would be a challenge. Do a search on battery and likely the thread will pop up.

The battery is glued in a separate little basket with thin double sided tape - and pluggable, not solded. I guess, in about two years, if the Kobo Touch batteries finally die like ninepins, there are replacement batteries and replacement instructions.
