Kobo touche Calibre metadata

Hi,

when I load books from my calibre library to my kobo touch, metadatas in my e-reader do not mach those in calibre. I often lose titles and authors. Any idea on this issue?

Thanks,
Lois

How are you loading the book and what format are they? If you do not use Calibre facilities for transfering the book that is quite likely to happen. Also, PDF files in particular often suffer from this problem as it can be difficult to update metadat in them..

Right. I mean PDFs. I use the "send to device" popup menu from within Calibre library. Somehow messy.

As I mentioned updating metadata in PDF files seems to be problematical and therefore very hit-and miss. Other formats such as ePub are much more likely to get their metadata updated correctly.
