PRS-T1 Freehand Annotation

Hi! I'm considering getting the Sony PRS-T1 but have some questions about how it handles annotations. I'd mainly be using it for reading pdfs, and doing lots of underlining using the free-hand annotation feature. From other threads I understand that it saves notes/highlights as rtf files. But I couldn't figure out whether with free-hand underlinings/notes on a pdf file when exporting back to a computer it just copies these scribbles as a separate rtf file; saves images of only those pages of the pdf that have annotations; or saves images of the entire pdf? I'd really appreciate it if somebody could post a screenshot of an annotated pdf that has been exported!

Thanks a lot!

Also, if I rooted the reader, is there an app I could use that would actually save the freehand annotations onto the pdf file (and which could be exported back to my computer). Thanks!
