Snooze button for update

Given that not all updates can be useful and the What's new should be read before doing an upgrade is there a chance to have a snooze button to drop the flashy announcement till the next one?

Now, with the plugins, some depending on a certain version, it could be more complicated.

No 'Snooze' option. You can turn off the Notice in Preferences.

I believe Plugin notification will only notify you of valid PI for your level.

If I turn notifications off I might miss some useful update as well.

As for the plugin notification: it notifies me for a plugin that needs the updated version. I can live without that plugin till the next update, but I would not want to miss out on the plugin upgrade if I upgrade calibre as well. As you formulated things would be solved: the plugin notification working only for currenly installed version, otherwise wait for the Calibre update first.

Even with notifications off Calibre will still let you know at the bottom of the main window.
