Vox deleted library

Hi there, i'm having an issue with my kobo vox. It decided to reset on me randomly, deleting my entire (rather extensive) library. They're all books I've added from an external SD card, choosing the "remove from sd when adding to library" option. I can see from the storage page/how much storage I have left on the internal sd that they're still somewhere on the device, but can't find them using my file manager or figure out a way to get the kobo library to find & add them. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, I'm without my laptop for a week and can't simply reload everything. Thank you!

.

if you go into the Library, press the middle button at the bottom and choose import, this will scan the Vox for any books and give you the option of re-adding to the library

Sadly, I think once you import them into the kobo reader and tell it to remove them from the sd, they are then in a location/format where you cannot easily recover them. Maybe it has unzipped them somewhere within the kobopegasus folder? (epubs are just zip files containing html files) If you want to recover the space and it seems that is where they are, you could try deleting the contents of that folder (I am just talking off the top of my head here, if something goes horribly wrong, do not blame me!). In any case, it looks like you will need to reload them.

I imported my books into my library but fortunately left mine on the external sd. My problem is that I have to re-import my books each time I restart my Kobo. Is there any way that I can keep them on my shelf? It takes too much time re-importing them each time. Thanks.

That's not right. You might want to search around here for threads about the vox losing settings and such. Make sure your system date/time is correct.
