Calibre Stanza Metadata

Hello! I've started using Stanza as my main reader for the iPad. I used to have iBooks as my reader, but then I found out the library features of Stanza and I just want to stick with it.

I got my Calibre content server setup and I can download books from it into my iPad 2. The only problem is that, Calibre doesn't seem to write the metadata using that method? If I try save to disk manually, metadata are written correctly.

Is there any way I could make Calibre write metadata into PDFs when downloading from content server or maybe when adding books?

Thank you

Not currently, the content server writes metadata on download only for ePub and Mobi files at this time.

You could submit an enhancement request and someday it may become a feature.

PDF is an awful format. Writing metadata to a PDF requires the entire PDF be read to memory, updated, and then written out again. As such, it is not suitable for metadata update via the content server.

Thanks guys. At least now I know that there's nothing that I missed. Sadly, most of the books and journals I have are in that format. I guess I'll just have to deal with manually changing tags when downloading OTA, or I'll use the send to device feature when I'm on my desk.
