Ok is this thing ready for sale?

i want to love this device, if it did what it is supposed to i would.
since buying it (kobo touch)6 days ago:

i have had to hard reset it TWICE (i blamed that on the books i was loading so oh well) then the page skips started
i can tap and change fine then no, not at all, then it will flip five pages at once
(perhaps it's me, maybe i need to get the rhythm i think)

now reading a book it just flips out and blanks like five times.... all my font settings gone
then in a panic i turn it off
my power off screen is a reversed image of the book cover and the powered off is full ox x's
i am panicking
try again
i am greeted with the set up screen wtf?
i repeat
same
finally it boots normally yet once again all of my settings are gone

excuse me...did you folks test this thing at all before shipping?

6 damn days and treating it with kid gloves it is already a source of panic rather than a product i enjoy?

edit:

let me say this i LOVE this device
my frustration stems from the fact it is already seeming borked 6 days in
i am saddened at the thought of not having my lovely new piece of kit

If a device is going to fail before its time, it is usually going to do it immediately. Sounds like your KT is no exception.

Incidentally, this is why I prefer refurbs, when I can get them (which I couldn't find with the KT, but if I could, I would have gotten one). People have all sorts of psychological hang-ups about refurb units, but some of them never really had anything wrong with them to begin with and they are much more thoroughly checked than new units. You're not going to get a dud refurb.

However, duds can and do happen with any technology. Having a dud does not mean the whole product line is full of duds.

I have gotten duds of (insert device here) in the past. I've then gotten replacements and loved the working one to pieces.

My KT works great. So do most other peoples'. Yours doesn't. That doesn't mean that's most peoples' experience. I would suggest you return it for a replacement or a refund.

I am a firm believer in refurbs

i have not had any issues, since the ones detailed above
i'm really hoping it was a fluke

as i said i LOVE this device and hope i have it for a long time to come

(i'm sorry if i came off like i am slamming the device, i was frustrated and worried,my new toy went haywire)
