Bookeen Cybook Opus manual?
Any idea where I can get a look at the manual, or at least the "Get Started" manual for the Cybook Opus please ?
I bought one at a very good price from W'stones for a present, and I'd like to have an idea of how to get it up and running. I don't really want to open it before Christmas. I went on the Cybook site, but don't want to sign on or anything, and I don't want to have to pay for one. Anyone any idea ? I tried "askmanuals" but they don't seem to know what an ereader is ........ ![]() |

You can download it here:
http://bookeen.com/en/supportdownload/ for some reason you have to create an account to be able to download the manuals. I have tried to attach it. Last edited by HarryT; 12-18-2011 at 12:37 PM. |

I'm afraid we've had to remove the attached manual. It's copyrighted material and can't be reposted. Sorry.

if I am not mistaken it is on the Opus itself in electronic form, check under under cybook/ebooks. It is on mine too.
edit: bah, since you don't want to open it. But it is so simple to use you won't need the manual anyway. |

ADE ?
Perused the manual, should be OK - a thought occurred to me though.
If I'm going to advise using Calibre, do you stil need ADE ? I thought not, but Mr. Tech-Dunce is open to helpful guidance if he's a twit ! |

You only need to use ADE if you want to buy DRM-protected ePub books - eg, books from Waterstones, or another commercial bookshop. Calibre and ADE serve different purposes - ADE isn't a substitute for Calibre, nor vice versa.

Ah, got it - thank you Harry.
The recipient will mainly be a "classic" reader, so Calibre will be a nice intro for them to get used to the machine, with P.G. and here at M.R. |
