Question Are You Reading More Than Before You Got Your EReader?

Just a quick little poll to see how many people are reading...

1) More...
2) The Same, or...
3) Less Than...

...they did before they got an ereader. Of course, explanations of why or of differences in your reading habits between now and then are always appreciated to fill out the thread!

Me, I'm now reading a lot more, though most of it are classics from Project Gutenberg or downloads from the local library system.

I figured with buying an eReader, after I bought enough eBooks to equal its purchase price by what I would be saving with going digital, I ended up reading way more than before. So I didn't save a penny, quite the opposite, but I couldn't be happier with my reading tho

I am reading about the same amount, but have shifted a lot towards the classics that I never got around to before.

Overall, I have saved a lot of money since I shifted to Ebooks.
Enough to collect Ereaders, so I guess I haven't saved money

I've been reading a lot more books now that I have my Kobo. Especialy using the online library because I started getting more books to try out and have found quite a few authors I like. Which I wouldn't normally do when going to the physical Library. And E-books are usually way cheaper when they're new releases (Hardcover).

I can now read more often in unusual places, since my PRS-350 is light and portable enough to keep with me at all times, but overall I don't think it's had a significant impact on the total amount of reading I get done. An extra few minutes here and there is nice, but it doesn't get me very far ahead in the race to finish all my books!

I read the same amount in all the same places (I used to carry the current paperback in my purse) - but I've definitely saved money.

I'm reading more fiction, that's for sure.

I've just graduated so I will have to answer the question based on my habits before my degree, which is a resounding yes. Access to thousands of public domain works, no pages blowing in the wind, no weird smells, etc.

As for saving money - it's probably cheaper to buy books from the many charity shops situated on the local high street; what I like about eBook buying though, is that I can have what I want, when I want! I do find the choice overwhelming sometimes though!

I'm reading much more than before. I used to read nonfiction almost exclusively. Now I read mostly Gutenberg stuff. As a result, I'm reading a lot of classic novels that I would never have looked at before. I'm reading more and it's costing me less.

When I first purchased my ereader, I was reading a lot more. Now, however, it has leveled off somewhat.

With all the free books out there, it has definitely saved me some money and exposed me to many authors that I would not have tried previously.

I'm reading more than ever before. I stopped reading paper back books and switched to reading Fan Fiction on my pc years ago simply because I could copy the stories into MS Word and adjust the font size to what was comfortable to me.

There is also the fact that I can collect 1000s of books on my pc rather than taking up valuable space in my house!

Now that I have my reader, I'm catching up on all of the reading that I've been missing for years.

Oh, I'm clearly reading much more. And in my case, the big difference is availability. No more need to load up on books when I make trips back to the US! Or accumulate a list of books to order from Amazon (to save on shipping charges).

It's also handier to carry my reader with me - and I can have multiple books available at the same time with no added bulk.

Much more. However that is a bit unreliable because my eReader purchase coincided with my retirement which gave the the time to read which I didn't have before. Did the eReader make a different? Yes, probably.
