Music: What to listen to?
I've been struggling to read recently so I thought listening to music might be a remedy I can try. What can people recommend I try to listen to help 'calm myself down' and reduce my anxiety while reading? I thought this would be the best place to ask this.
This was the thread I created earlier about my recent struggle to read, but it's a different question to this thread: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=264843 Sorry, if I broke a rule by creating this thread. |

Light Classical. Maybe create a Pandora or other station in that genre.

Ambient. Look for nearly anything by Jeff Pearce, Darshan Ambient, Lanterna, etc. You should be able to find some tracks from these folks at Youtube.

I find music just doesn't work when I'm reading. I instantly listen to the music. But I love music. I can do music while cooking or tidying, but not reading.
Classical, especially small chamber music or smaller orchestra or pianoforte. Maybe Rossini's overtures or Bach's harpsichord concertos. Things that are less drastic in dynamic range and without vocals usually blend into the background better. |

Thanks a bunch for your replies!
I'm guessing the music MUST be something without words, right? Could someone please post an example of a song from Youtube or something just so I know I'm listening to the correct song? |

For nature sounds, I generally listen to apps I got free from Amazon's FAOTD (Rain Therapy, Relax Melodies, etc) or Nature Radio (Pandora). |
