Just for fun ... let us know what is your eink reader / tablet combo. Only rule: mention two devices only, one eink and the other one a tablet. Tell us what your combo is and the why, if you want to ... Mine: Kindle 3 / iPad 2 iPad gives me the size and editing capabilities I need for the few PDFs I have. Kindle 3 gives me access to a fantastic online bookstore with a light and very useful device. Last edited by jocampo; 06-27-2011 at 01:19 AM. Reason: Fixing some typos |

Nook 2E and a Nook Color with CM7. I VASTLY prefer to read on e-ink, thus the Nook 2E. The NC is for tablet-y stuff. I don't even really use it for pdfs...I'd rather spend extra time converting a pdf book to an epub Mainly internet stuff, email, apps, etc. |

I have a Kindle 3 Wifi and a Craig 7" Android tablet. For most purposes, I prefer the Kindle, but some e-books have light-colored text that's easier to see on the tablet.

Sony 650/iPhone. I know it's not a tablet but I do read on it on the subway. I am a consultant and I only go in to the office once a week, and I carry my laptop (and iphone of course) with me. So I didn't feel like carrying a third device (reader) and my iphone suits me just fine. At home and on vacation, I read on the reader. eP |

For a long while, I've been using a Sony Reader (first the PRS-505, now a 600), and a Fujitsu Stylistic 4110. The Sony gets used for most reading, and day-to-day notes / to-do lists &c., the Tablet PC for everything else (reading-wise for webcomics and technical stuff). William |

e ink is dated. Whatever comes out with Qualcomm's Mirasol display. Shall be equipping most tablets and smartphones some years from now and shall render e ink single-purpose devices irrelevant.

Sony PRS-350/iPad2 The 350 is light, easily portable and does a surprisingly good job with PDFs on the go. The iPad is for PDFs (especially when writing an article in which the said PDFs will be cited. It is a really handy device) and for the odd Kindle book. The 350 goes with me everywhere, the iPad most often stays home. |
